Where are we ?
 |
We are operative in Härjedalen and precisely in Hede - Långå - Vemdalen - Tännäs - Funäsdalen - Ramundberget
in function of the activities and the weather condition.
Härjedalen is situated in the north part of Sweden in the border with Norway. It's defined like "the last wilderness of Europe" and this can let easily imagine what kind of experience you are going through. The area has 13000km2
and only 10000 people are living here (so it's 0.8p/km2 the lowest of Europe), but there are 45000 reindeers owned by Sami population, and more than 1000 bears are living in these no end forest or on the mountains (fjällen) and also many moose, wolverines, wolfs, beavers etc...
The first little city is Östersund and is about 2h far from here.
The best way to reach Härjedalen is by car.
If you come from another country > Usually people coming here, they land in Stockholm Arlanda and with a rental car, they drive up to Hede. That way it takes 5h more or less (no road fee, no traffic, always straight)and it's a beautiful trip because it's all in deep forest and nearby nice lakes.
If you are using low cost companies as Ryanair you will land in Skavsta airport (Nyköping) and from there it takes 7h to get here. You can also land in Oslo Torp (Norway) and drive up here, we are in border with Norway and it takes 7h too.
You can have internal flights landing more near to us but it gets more expensive than to drive the car in nice roads and calculating the time of check in etc...you will not save so long time. The nearest airports are Sveg (100km), Roros (norway - 126km), Östersund (170km) or Trondheim (Norway - 265km). If you need further information you can also call us by Skype or just write us...
